This treatment is administered by a technician, using a hand-held device that looks like a flashlight. The laser is placed directly over the injured region for anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes, depending on the size, depth and acuteness of the condition being treated.
Many patients report relief from their suffering with as little as one treatment, and most are able to return to their normal daily activities with no pain and restricted motions after their therapy is done.
Although laser therapy is very effective and beneficial for acute and chronic pain, depending on the severity of the patient's condition, and how their bodies are responding to the stimulus, more than one laser therapy session may be necessary before you start to notice significant improvement.
